WHS Basketball Homecoming Rescheduled!

Due to recent weather-related changes, WHS Basketball Homecoming Games and the Court Presentation has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 7th with games starting at 2pm and court presentation before the senior boys game. We will kick off the celebration on Monday with our Homecoming Spirit Week!

Let’s come together and show our Warrior Spirit all week long! ❤️🤍

November Bus Driver of the Month: Melissa Haskett Melissa Haskett exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding bus driver. She is dependable, caring, and always puts student safety first. Melissa builds positive relationships with her riders, maintains a calm and professional attitude, and takes pride in her work each and every day. Her dedication truly sets her apart—she has not missed work in almost five years, a testament to her reliability and commitment. 🏀WHS Basketball Schedule Update – End of Week 🏀

Due to the projected timing of the forecasted weather, the following schedule changes are being made to ensure the safety of our students and fans traveling to the games.

Boys Basketball will NOT play on Friday, January 23rd.
Both Boys & Girls Basketball will play on Thursday, January 22nd at Pocahontas. NO 7th grade games.

Westside Elementary is excited to invite our families to our Scholastic Book Fair! This is a great opportunity for students to explore new books, build their home libraries, and grow a love of reading. February 4th - 12th at the WES Library! Family night is Thursday, February 5th, 3:30-8:30.

At Westside Elementary this morning, Mrs. Wilson’s 4th grade class visited Mrs. Ally’s kindergarten class to kick off something special! Kindergarten students are beginning to learn about addition and part-part-whole, and our 4th graders were excited to help support their learning.

This is the start of a collaboration between the oldest and youngest students in the building—encouraging our 4th graders to step into leadership roles while giving our kindergarteners a fun and encouraging learning experience.
